Making A Purchase Please just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Please note that we are no longer able to ship to countries outside of the UK. 

 

We accept card payments. Payment via card is completed using Paypal and is done so straight away. The plants are mostly despatched in Late April, May or early June, so for example if you place your order in December 2023 the plants will be sent May 2024. If you wish to delay payment please select the cheque payment option during checkout we will then invoice you in April just before the plants are ready to go, and once payment has been completed via cheque, card or BACS the plants will be sent. If you choose plants from the ‘Ready Now’ section they will be sent as soon as possible after ordering.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of any changes, we will always contact you first to ensure that the change is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling All orders are sent in late April, May or early June except for Galanthus, which are despatched in February and March, and succulents which are sent all year, . If you have chosen the cheque payment option we will send the invoice with payment details in April. Once payment has been made the plants will be sent as soon as they are ready.

We despatch orders on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Parcelforce on a 48hr delivery or with Royal Mail. (In order to avoid any orders being held in transit over weekends, we do not despatch after Wednesdays.)

We offer a varied rate of £9.00 for 1-3 plants, £12 for 4-20 plants and £15 for 21-50 plants per order. Although there is an incremental surcharge from our courier for orders over 10 plants, we will cover the extra delivery cost of any order – please view this as a discount for larger orders!

We are also able to take orders with us to any shows or plant fairs we attend.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we can either back order for you or substitute it. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait or have a substitute.
 Problems If you have any problems with the plants ordered let us know as soon as possible and we will either replace the plants or refund you. Generally we only accept responsibility for the plants within the first 7 days of you receiving them, however, if a problem arises later we will consider it on a case by case basis and work to come to a mutual arrangement. Plants must be unpacked immediately when you receive them and given a good water before either planting or potting them up.
Returns Policy 

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder

Privacy Policy Old Court Nurseries do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
