This S. novae-angliae cultivar has nicely shaped deep heather-purple flowers with fairly dark stems. Like all New England varieties it has strong woody stems which rarely need staking after the first year, is mildew resistant and flowers from late September. Reaches at least 130 cm more often than not it is significantly taller.
