Although one of the weaker growing plants among the Aster amellus, ‘Violet Queen’ does have the strongest coloured flowers very much living up to the Violet part of its name. When grown well it has lovely bushy compact growth and flowers from mid-august. Needs good winter drainage and division in spring about every 5 years. To succeed with this plant it is important to make sure it is not crowded by other herbaceous plants. Mildew free. 30 cm.
